Tan Sri Datuk Ter Leong Yap is the founder and Executive Chairman of Sunsuria Berhad, an award-winning public-listed property developer that has also diversified into construction, landscaping, and other complementary businesses or joint ventures.
Tan Sri Ter holds a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering (Honours) from the University of Malaya. He is currently the President of the National Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia (NCCIM), the Associated Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia (ACCCIM) and the Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Kuala Lumpur and Selangor (KLSCCCI). He is also the Director of Xiamen University Malaysia and holds several key positions in a number of high schools in Malaysia.
In 2019, Tan Sri Ter was appointed as a Member for the Trade and Industry Advisory Council (TIAC) by the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI) and named as National Unity Ambassador by the Department of National Unity and Integration (JPNIN) in 2016. He was also awarded The Edge Malaysia Outstanding Property Entrepreneur Award in 2017, the Business Excellence Person of the Year 2014 as well as the Outstanding Malaysian Hokkien Award twice in 2008 and 2017 respectively.
Chief Operating Officer
Holding a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Southern Queensland, Australia, Datuk Simon Kwan began his career as a Technical and Sales Executive in the engineering sector. He soon made strides into the property development industry and focused on the areas of sales and marketing since 1993.
With a strong background in academics, Datuk Simon Kwan fast-tracked his exposure into the international trade market. He is currently the Chief Operating Officer & Head of Property Development of Sunsuria. He is now overseeing many departments in the company and has successfully led the Sunsuria team in envisioning new concepts and launching them into the relevant markets through persistence and his in-depth industry knowledge.
Chief Financial Officer
With more than 30 years of work experience, Swee Kheng has held various finance positions in the property development, hotel and leisure sectors, she began her career in a public accounting firm before joining various public listed companies as an accountant and later succeeded as a General Manager of Finance.
She holds a Diploma in Finance Accounting from Kolej Tunku Abdul Rahman and is a member of the Malaysia Institute of Accountants (MIA) and Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA).
